This overview day offers a full programme of four talks, covering the key issues and themes that run throughout this level 3 module.
The day is comprised of the following sessions:
Dr Alison Davies is a part-time Postdoctoral Research Associate within the School of Psychology at the OU. She is also a practising psychodynamic therapist working in private practice. Until recently, Alison was an Associate Lecturer on several Psychology modules including DD317, DE300, D240 and DD310 and had written material for the online DD317 VLE.
Alison's research has focused on the discursive work performed by families and individuals affected by health-related issues, with particular interest in how identities are constructed through discourse and how individuals take up and resist these identities in everyday practices.
Registration will take place from 9.30am. Lectures will start at 10.00 am. The day will finish at approximately 4.30pm. The timetable for the day can be downloaded from here: DD317 timetable
